Alex Candia graduated from the Polytechnic Institute with a degree in engineering and physics. After working as an engineer for several years, he left this job and started to make a new carrier in tourism.
Alex has worked as a tour guide in various countries across Europe, Africa, and Asia. He has visited over 30 different countries.
Candia lives and works in Crete for over 25 years – a place he fell in love with from the very first day he arrived.
Alex continues to work in tourism, introducing his guests to the island’s beauty and secrets.
He spends his free time exploring the island, its secrets and mysteries, riding his motorcycle.
The result of his research is books that introduce readers to the island’s rich and fascinating history.
Alex, like his family, loves animals, and his home is always full of different animals.
